Name: Richard Cross
Richard has gray eyes and brown hair- he also has some temple gray hair, which continues down to his nape. He's dark skinned, and stands at 5'10", weighing in at 137 lbs. He's fit from effort, and carries an average build with a strong posture.

Richard's easy enough to get to know. He's amiable on first impression, though if you get along too well with him he may get bored of you and won't go out of his way to interact. He's an intelligent man, one who tires easily if surrounded by dull people and seems energized from stimulating conversation. One definite way to irk him is to ignore him completely.
He works hard enough to get the job done well, but he can produce stunning results when fired into a competitive mood. Aside from debates, he's not against a little rough housing every so often. After all, he's not weak or a stick, and can hold his own pretty well (he'd like to think).
Richard was first a researcher, one of the many working and studying the process by which many people had absorbed the natures of elements into their being. He contributed as a field scientist, going out to find such people and to collect data to be studied by his co-workers.
One of his charges perished in the middle of study, and without any immediate volunteers to replace him (in addition to a strong personal curiosity), Richard had the bone from the element transplanted into his own body.
Inheriting Protactinium in this manner, he found the powers that came with made it a lot easier to track down and find people.
Richard did not know that the boy whose powers he received had not died accidentally or of natural causes, but had been killed by the lab scientists who had wanted a more compliant subject.
Of course, he managed to piece it together rather quickly when he was pulled out of the field and into the labs. Not too long later, Richard found himself an escapee, alongside the older sister of the very boy whose powers he'd inherited. Her name was Devynn, and he took her to the safety of the rumored Hazard.
With most of the elements being in one place, he turned his ability to assisting the Radioactive Division with their assassinations, even performing a few missions on his own. He tracks both targets and potential allies.
Karambit: A small, hooked blade he wears tucked into his belt. He was self-taught in usage when he was still in school, but didn't pick up a blade again until he joined Radioactive. Over the past few years, he's polished his technique. This is his preferred weapon, on account of it being easily concealable and also silent.
.357 Magnum: He doesn't carry this around his person most of the time, but he owns one. If he's firing a pistol, however, chances are it's not his own but one he's nicked for the moment.
Fists: His unarmed hand-to-hand combat is only average. He can punch and he can dodge, but put him up against someone more experienced in, say, martial arts, and he's more than likely going to lose.
Tracing: Through taste, smell, and touch (in order from most sensitive to least sensitive) he can isolate and identify the elemental make up of substances. By concentrating on specific mixtures (aka scents) he can track and follow targets. Protactinium has a potential use in geological dating in usage with mass spectrometers
Impairement: The powers of those in Richard's presence are debuffed. The closer he is to them, the more effective it is. Contact will block out a power completely. He can still be attacked from a distance by powers, however. Protactinium is a useless element, without any practical day to day uses
Phasing: Richard can phase through seemingly solid objects, the most useful being walls. The denser the substance is, the harder it is (and longer it takes) to phase through it. Protactinium is extremely unstable, to the point where there are no decent images handily available of the rare element.
He does not know he is capable of phasing, yet.
He's actually quite wealthy, from both his work and his family's standing.
It's fine to call him Rich or Richy, but call him Dick and he'll cuff you on the head (or try to). Jokingly, he may introduce himself as 'Doctor Cross.'
His hair's grayed early from stress and pressure.
He actually prefers the company of people who tease or poke fun at each other over people who are extremely polite. He finds it more interesting.
Telling him he's useless is probably the best way to hurt his pride and his feelings. He works hard, dammit!
